The short version: almost everything Terravel knows about you stays on your device. What little we do send is anonymous and never linked to your real identity. We don't run ads, and we don't track you across other apps.
Your reminders, saved places, guesses, collection and daily streak are stored locally on your phone. They never leave your device unless you choose to share a card.
To run leaderboards and understand how the app is used so we can improve it, Terravel sends the following to our own backend:

We do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers. Because of this, Terravel does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.
Leaderboard and analytics records are kept only as long as needed to provide those features. Because the data is anonymous, we cannot connect it back to you personally. You can remove all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app.
Terravel is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It contains no user-to-user messaging and no advertising.
